When the wine professionals taste...

Marc Ragaine, Best Independent wine seller of the World in 2003,
Cave Conseil Les Agapes in Auxerre

Bourgogne Vézelay Blanc 2002 from Maria Cuny, has an intensely golden-yellow colour with hints of green, enveloped in a glistening brilliance.
The first impression to the nose is dominated by a chalky minerality, carried on the perfect maturity of yellow fruits, mixed with an evaluative note. Secondly, (after aeration), the fruit aroma becomes increasingly generous.
Round in mouth, evolving on a mineral note that is quickly dominated by an intensity and is embracing. A good aromatic complexity despite its youth thanks to its minerality.
The wine ends by a long caressing persistence.
A wine that is currently characterises the year, with undertones of the soil.
Given time and its identity will become apparent.
Best kept, not t be put in a carafe, oxygenating in the glass is enough.
Accompanies: fish, white meats and foie gras
 Best regards, Marc

Frédéric Benucci, Chef Sommelier in Relais & Châteaux,
Now owner of Hostellerie Saint Pierre in Cravant

Bourgogne Vézelay 2002: Light yellow colour, brilliant.
The nose: White flowers aromas and aromas of white fruit slightly ripe
In taste:, nice minerality, particularly fruity and with a full concentration.
A perfect wine with fish dishes in a light sauce.
To be kept. Purely a pleasure with this year!

Bourgogne Rouge Pinot Noir 2002: a well structured wine, with peppery undertones.
Quite a good length in the mouth, with the aromas of red fruits such as cassis and cherry.
A well balanced wine with a crimson red colour.
Ideally aged for a further 4-5 years.
Typical from the soil of this area.
Gourmet advise: local delicacies, white meats, regional cheeses.
A real pleasure for your taste buds

Best Wishes, Frédéric

Bourgogne Rouge Pinot Noir 2002: on opening, the nose is light with a perfume of woodland, strawberries and nuts.
On tasting, it is like crunching redcurrants, slightly acidic and peppery at the same time.
This wine is young and it will be perfect in around 10 years.
Enjoy it with grilled white fish or white meats.
